#650 for the 5oz?...we've heard a similar tune to that in the past ... 2014 Silver Proof 5 oz Brittania original mintage 600- then changed/"clarified" to 1250... http://forums.silverstackers.com/to...f-britannia-is-an-absolute-beauty-page-6.html 2015 Definitive Britania 1oz Piedfort revised from 1000 to 2000 once the market demand was tested ... another forum alludes to the design being same as the Definitive 2015 Design , but minus the outer ring/circle bit...
Guess it's something like this without the outer ring: Source: http://www.newcoinreleases.com/tag/2015-britannia-coin/
this looks very similar to Royal Mint's lunar series. Did they just pull the Lunar designer in and get her to design 2015's proof Brits? We want Jody Clark back!
was budgeting to get a couple of 5-ouncers this year, guess I'll just stick with the usual 1oz and 5oz, 1 piece each.
I like the design, nothing wrong with it. will buy one for collection if I can get under 30 eur. EDIT: now I see price tag 109eur + shippinh. I will pass. Can get 4 oz silver for that price.
I'm actually quite glad they didn't make something in the vein of the 2014 or better. If that's possible. My budget is in disastrous state and in this way I will be able to spend money for other coins and medals.
Must admit, i'm a bit relieved this is a 5oz i don't feel compelled to get. Last years was spectacular in so many ways (including cost ) I have the 2015 2 definitive issue. So i like the design but content to just have the 2014 5oz for now. She will always be the "wow" one for me. Budget is always at critical levels, and what with the Privateer part2 coming up...... oh and Marco Polo...... and the next ATB..... etc

Royal Mint never learns... Both 1oz and 5oz proof silver Brits only state mintage for "limited presentation"
