Howdy Stackers, Based on the success of the big meet (around 30 members coming up!) on the 3rd July, I'm looking to organise another for the weekend of the 6/7th August. As before, I'm proposing the following: Location will be confirmed via PM rather than a public announcement for security/confidentiality purposes. Bring some items to trade/sell/swap. Bring a 'show and tell' item. I try to make a point of this with obscure and different coins/bars. As with other meets, I do ask that attendees have traded with other Brissy stackers who can vouch for them. People with no trade feedback or 'non entities' will not receive replies. A weekend date/time - I've usually arranged late one's during schoolnights so hasn't been easy for a lot of people. Please give your preference for Saturday or Sunday. I will try to accomodate the majority in this one As with last time, I will need an idea of numbers within the next week or so in order to get a decent private venue. I'm taking all feedback from the last venue we used into consideration so we should have plenty of space this time for show and tell, and a presentation space. I'm also going to be working on some guest speakers in... so watch this space - this has the potential to be a very special one...
Put me down too, no preference between Sat or Sunday, leaning towards Saturday so I can head to the shops before or after but not a problem either way.
I am in, I had fun looking at some goodies over a few beers last time. Im pretty flexible... either Saturday or Sunday are fine by me.
well thats nearly 10 by EOI and PM already! I think a swapshop and Auction might be in order on the day too. Happy to conduct the Auction while wearing my pikey hat
I'm available Saturday or Sunday evenings, in a "not at work then" sense. Whether I'm free, have fiat, silver or something to show off, remains to be seen. I could always make another cake.
Can you bake for 30+ people? I'd happily pay a post sixpence or shilling for another kookaburra cake, and I'm sure you'll have many more takers...
Hmm, if I was making 'that' kookaburra for money, it would have cost more than that, just in materials, and it only fed 9 or so people. I was considering making chocolate good delivery stackable bars, but still thinking the logistics of that one. Why don't I work out what baking for 30 people would cost ME in fiat, and I'll let you know. I'll likely bake something anyway.
