7tn of Yen per month = approx USD$73bn per month. src: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-04-04/boj-unveils-shock-and-awe-quantitative-qualitative-easing
I've just thought that yen went up, good time to buy some PM ... then comes the news and yen goes down 2% ))
Tickey Fullerton (ABC 24's 'The Business') just reported Japan intends to double it's money currency supply over the next 2 years... does that sound correct?
The previous Governor of the BOJ had persistently rebuffed all attempts or requests by the Jap Gov to increase the money flow ie QE, now they have a new Governor who has made it clear that he will pull as many strings as possible in order to curb the Yen's rise. After all, for the last 20 odd years the JPY has managed to maintain safe currency status despite the fact the economy is a stagnant cess-pool, no one actually has sex in Japan (well not husbands and wives), and small dogs are considered children - yet the JPY has still appreciated against the USD. Work that out??????
Not as crap as small dogs. 2006 figures: USD1300 to buy a dog in Japan, vet bills ave USD500-600, grooming is USD60!!!!! http://www.zenoaq.jp/english/aij/0705.html FFS my son found our dog on the beach. Cost = nothin (except when it got into a fight with another dog and then got shot over some stupid fluffy bitch with long eyelashes), cost = AUD1200
