"Bitcoin could become legal tender in Australia if popularity increases" I love these stupid lines, usually from Americans about some place they think sounds exotic. The statement is as valid as "Bitcoin could become legal tender in USA and Canada if popularity increases"
If it is stupid, how do you think it will become legal tender if it doesn't enjoy wide spread popularity?
I don't think bitcoin is achieving widespread popularity yet. I will believe that when my parents ask me if I have any bitcoins for sale
Not yet, but progress is being made. To give you an idea: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-network-growth-metrics-next-mega-price-rally/ "I will believe that when my parents ask me if I have any bitcoins for sale" - lol Very true.
Market cap increasing, genuine VC investments in start ups, banks already using block chain technology. I think we are pretty safe for the future..
I would recommend this http://ftalphaville.ft.com/2015/07/...determine-a-greek-parallel-currencys-success/ for a serious discussion about bitcoin's idea of an apolitical money might not work.

Not disagreeing with your point, but the 12 year old ADHDers who make these alleged "info" graphics need to be shot. Half of it is made up numbers, the spelling is atrocious, and some of the sources are not even valid web addresses. I wish they would stop making them, or at least acknowledge that a huge chunk of transactions is comprised of "we have no idea of who it is, what it is for, or what country it is coming from or going to".
It was a fantastic idea.....but there's something old & used up about it now. Don't expect another huge rally anytime soon.
