Apparently there is a bitcoin conference in Melbourne 28th and 29th of March http://www.btcmelbourne.com.au/ only just heard of it
Yeah, looked into it a while back. At the time the only speakers were the organisers who recently wrote a book on getting rich with bitcoins, and seemed to have a history of similar endeavours in property etc in the past, not actually anyone related to the Bitcoin scene from a development or industry player etc. At the time it seemed more of a book pitch than a conference.
