Just wondering what people think of the big mac coin I think it will be very collectable I've seen 3 versions I think they will be worth alot in the future
Few things can they call it a coin if it's not from a government mint? The cardboard paper that comes with it says can't be sold or auctioned do they have that right once it has been given away ?
I'm in nz if you check out the oz mcdonalds site it should tell you how to get them In nz they had a van go to certain places and give them out
Read on Finder.com.au that it's not happening in Australia Apparently it's a bronze coin, 5 different designs (one for each decade) and it can be redeemed for a Big Mac And why is this in the sales section lol
Apparently NGC already graded this medal. Confirmed once more my belief that NGC is not a credible numis authority but a fee seeking, stamp chopping outfit. Pay me the money and tell me where to chop! https://i.imgur.com/VdHSgi8.jpg
So far, I have 4 with 3 different designs. Missing 1988-1998 and 1998-2008. Maybe we can set up trades to complete all 5 different designs.
Just an update: I now have all 5 designs (1968-1978, 1978-1988, 1988-1998, 1998-2008 & 2008-2018). And an extra 2008-2018. McDonald's has produced more than 6.2 million coins in five variations, one for each of the five decades of the burger. The designs include “flower power” for the ’70s, pop art for the ’80s, “bold, abstract shapes” for the ’90s, new millennium technology for the ’00s and the “evolution of communication” for the 2010s. McDonald’s said 14,000 locations in more than 50 countries are participating in the promotion. There are also seven languages featured across the five coin designs that represent many of the participating countries, McDonald’s said.
