It has come to my attention in the past that some sellers are mis-identifying kilo silver Libertad coins: the mis-identification comes when a BU kilo coin is mis-identified as a scarcer and more valuable "Proof Like" (PL) version coin. The difference between a BU and a PL version kilo coin is usually easy to spot; all raised surfaces of a PL version coin are highly polished while all portions/surfaces of a BU version are a normal satin BU finish. But, it may not be only sellers whom are mis-identifying these kilo coins....but PCGS may have mis-indentified at least 1 such coin found on eBay here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Mo-PCGS-PL69-Proof-Like-Mexico-Libertad-999-Silver-Kilo-Coin-KM-677/401728124084?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2750.l2649. Now I can't be 100% certain that the coin in the capsule isn't a PL version, but it sure doesn't look like a PL version coin since all surfaces appear to have a BU satin finish. Compare that to this PL version coin (eBay listing): 112701888571. The difference appears to be very obvious.....the point being that even though it doesn't happen frequently, sometimes, TPG companies may mis-identify a coin. What do you think.....does the slabbed coin look like a BU version?
