Money is the root of all arguments.

I think that is a fair summary of this thread to date.

I'm getting that way too as reno keeps avoiding direct questions like an A-grade polie in order to claim that everyone is a moral sell out.**

Seriously though, I wasn't passing any judgement with that comment. I was actually interested to see what Lunarowl meant by his (and trying to be pseudo-sarcastic at the same time). Given all the good things Kiyosaki has done, I'm actually interested to know whether anyone digs up the real story about whether he really did do a dirty.

** Reno - For the record, I don't care what you did in the before time and I have zero doubt you have lots of valuable knowledge to share (and lots of shite that should not be shared). Like any human being who is not a vegetable or a complete sociopath, I have no doubt that you can (and probably do) contribute to the truly productive elements of society. Encouraging newbies to get into the highly leveraged, negatively geared, manipulated ponzi residential property market as a way to make wealth is not one of the things you should be doing - particularly on a site with such a large focus on precious metals and sound money (there are enough real estate forums where you can do this).

Encouraging people to protect their wealth from immoral, unjustified claims from others is probably a good area you can provide good advice (but doing the same to cover an Alan Bond fraud/theft in the process is obviously not).

I dont encourage anyone to do anything i just tell them debt is a tool if used wisely can enhance ones financial independence earlier than if they struggle with their own money.

Also the system is there to be used for your benefit & your a complete idiot if you refuse to use a perfectly legal means to get ahead . .

(picking jaw up off the floor) ... well, I'm gob-smacked... This statement I actually agree with!

Well done Reno! You actually can speak without being a pompous, derrogatory prick.

Now, it wasn't that hard, was it? You should try it like this all the time. :D

    Blah, blah, blah.
I get on a bus in section 5.
    I pay section 4 fee.
Bus driver never asks me about the fare.
Mind you the difference is $2.20 versus $3.30.
The bus is still going to the end place even if I am not on the bus.

    Go figure......

I think this is the prevailing paradigm of most activity on Wall Street nowadays.

Best part is, even if it isn't exactly legal today, you can lobby your bought off polly to make it legal tomorrow and have the ruling backdated.

Like I said Reno, you suffer from cognitive dissonance. You know two wrongs don't make a right, but do it anyway and yell down anyone who doesn't also follow the same path as an 'idiot'.

Simply because I don't want to reveal my personal situation for your banal critique doesn't mean I don't have one.

It means I don't choose to share it with you because I don't value your input on it, nor do I need your approval to know it's the right course of action for me and my family.

Your ego will just have to deal with the fact that with me, your opinion is worthless and leave it at that.

Without quoting a long list from above -

We can all show examples of where people and Money have been bad, what isn't determined is what they were like or how they changed ?

It is a bit like the Gun debate, saying people kill people not the guns (Not an opening BTW) In saying money makes it all bad or good, is such a similar comparison, BS people make it all bad or good. It is your choice. Money gives abilities to do good, not saying you cannot do good for free either. You decide if the kids get spoiled, but a trip overseas can be more than just a shopping expedition as well.

We all change throughout our lives, how we progress is our choice, and our choice alone. Circumstances can dictate your situation but you are the only one that can change it as well. Your choice.
