It is ignorant to assume that an individual should live up to a stereotype. Even more ignorant is perceiving the world and it's inhabitants as a series of binary stereotypes. All it proves is that you are unable to see what lies between the extremes, and unable to understand that ideological spectra are not one dimensional. Enforcing the reduction of politics into red vs blue and left vs right constrains our social parameters into a predefined state of conflict, engineered to distract and divide. By conforming to a stereotype, there is no evolution of thought. Why should being pro-Palestine mean you have to be an anti-semite, or is this shallow level of consciousness promoted only to perpetuate conflict, discredit contrary information, and allow useful idiots to fill the ranks of manipulative vested interests? Or do we just go with it because we can't be fucked with deeper thought? Is it so hard to understand that a person's love of their country can exist in tandem with dissenting views regarding its leadership's foreign policy? Must this dissent dictate a hatred of those in service? @systematic - nice sig.
