Note: I don't recommend watching or spreading violent content. But I do think it's disturbing that the government is rapidly developing a blacklist of websites.

Conveniently, the government, courts, politicians are exempted in almost every way.

Sounds like obamacare. Everyone must have it except for the ones that made the law. Doesnt include any of them. Isnt that just swell!?

Police can turn off body cameras, edit footage, delete footage, refuse to give footage. Basically whatever they want.

Doing nothing (literally) could make you a criminal with 12 months prison time.

I'm not sure if the definition of crime has changed in my lifetime? But crime used to be reserved for illegal acts (i.e. actually doing something wrong or illegal, as opposed to doing nothing).

Released, just as he should have been.

In this case I'm surprised that the Prosecutor decided to take it to court. That article indicates that Mr Batterham behaved pretty much as anyone would and witnesses supported him, however a list of injuries to the junkie "A post mortem found deep bruising around his throat and skull and a fractured larynx." was probably the reason it was taken to trial. Those injuries were presumably 'unreasonable force'.

Still, it's better to be tried before 12 good men than to be buried in a box carried by 12 good men.

Australia's laws favour criminals above the victims of violent home invasions. These criminals have more rights than the victims whose home is being invaded and who are at risk of being killed or being attacked by said home invaders.
In addition it is clear that the lives of police officers are counted as far more important than the lives of everyday Australians and this is plain to see in that police officers are granted way more discretion in using deadly force whenever they feel threatened by an attacker than the ordinary man on the street whose life and/or property is under threat. Police are provided with firearms which they use when feeling threatened, whereas ordinary Australians are prevented by law from owning a firearm and using it in similar situations for self defence. What other conclusion should Australians come to other than in Australia the lives of police are regarded as more sacrosanct and of far higher value than the lives of all other Australians?

    Should make u think...

That dude should seek asylum and protection somewhere if he cant protect himself. Someone might help him out if theres anyone around there.
Sounds like human rights violations more than anything.
If the government treated me like that I'd tell them to come arrest me, and theyd better send bachelors. In the US I have that option although it might not be wise to say haha.
Live on your knees or die on your feet baby.
    It has to stop.
This is the main reason for citizens to be armed and its even more pressing than for personal defense.
The chances of needing to pull out a gun on someone ever in your life? Probably nil and probably wont ever happen.
On the other hand how many governments throughout history have become tyrannical?
    You see my point.

Theres many useful ways to resist before it has to get ugly and I dont mean worthless protests. Hopefully people can organize and figure out a solution that doesnt require violence since they are so disarmed and the govt would have that to answer for if it got serious and they started shooting unarmed citizens.
First enough people need to wake up and that another story haha. Same as in the us and everywhere else.
We all share some of the same obstacles.
It's all about the adventure man!

Or if the Oz pollies told China that their mineral interests are at stake, so Chinese soldiers jump in to secure the mainland.
During a serious recession and during civil unrest the cost to contain that mess could be astronomical.....or just make a phone call to good ole China?
Do you think they would use rubber bullets or care about australians. It's not a nice thought.
