I spent the day today on location with the cast and crew of Aussie Pickers. The show will debut on May 9th on Foxtel. Series one will run for 8 episodes, Here are some exclusive to Silver Stackers behind the scenes photos: The show is in the same format as American pickers and is not as "staged" as some people might think. The pickers names are Adam and Lucas. Adam works for a major auctioneer company in Sydney when not picking and Lucas owns a shop in Sydney's inner west.Here is the flyer they hand out: The crew wait for the pickers to arrive, the pickers have never met the people they are picking beforehand: The pickers arrive: After an introduction and asking for permission to look around, they get to work: All thoughts are captured on camera: Lucas being followed as always by film crew: Crew everywhere: Changing a 50gb blue ray disk, they go through heaps of disks on that $70,000 camera: Adam and Lucas being followed by cameras as always: One of the picks, bought for $20: Negotiating a purchase: You have no idea how many crew are around when watching the show: The camera is always in your face: This is the part at the end of the show when the people being picked say how good the pickers were, its the exact same formula as American Pickers: The Shooting takes 10 days per episode, the whole day of shooting will result in 12 to 14 minutes of footage for the show.
