Has anyone checked out Atkinsons new bullion site? They've dropped the Atkinsons the Jewellers name and although the site's new design is nice it comes with a new tiered pricing structure not too dissimilar from BullionByPost's, complete with newly jacked up prices! Much, much higher prices.

I too have noticed the new website very nice but at these new prices i think not!

I will have to find a new supplier with decent prices! What a shame.

Don't they realise getting greedy will not work long term. Guernsey mint has done exactly the same thing. I now buy all my metal through bullion vault. I cannot justify paying about 8-10 an oz of silver over the odds when you compare physical with delivery and vat and bullion vault fees.
I know the old saying if you don't hold it you don't own it, but I think the safety measures they have in place I can sleep at night!! Still have a nice physical stack, but the money I am saving I will not be adding to it .... No brainer :)

As they are including delivery within their pricing it all hidden now as to the actual rate excluding postage.

Bad move for your regular customers Atkinsons!!

I'm checking out the Guernsey Mint (or Bullion Rock as it is now) storage route as least I can pop over there and get it, can't do that with Goldmoney or Bullionvault methinks....

    Keep Stackin'

They've only bloody raised prices because over the past 2-3 years I've sent literally hundreds of people thru their door.

Take a tip - If you want to access the last bastion of reasonably priced & minded British pawnbrokers/jewellers, take a 2-day trip to Manchester and visit all of the branches of Mays up there - that's Manchester Exchange, Rochdale Road, Salford Precinct, Oldham, Ashton-u-Lyne and Bury - great staff & best prices always ;)
