Finally got this in the mail today via my brother in law in America. https://store.nwtmint.com/product_details/3716/2012_Mayan_Prophecy_Coin_Silver_Antique/
very nice round DU808! I really like the aztec/mayan style coins! how much were the postage costs from NW if you dont mind me asking...?
VERY nice. What weight? Does not say .999 Silver anywhere? How much fiat was it? What year was it minted?
As it was a single coin purchase, it was $79 to the relos place in Michighan. Then he posted to me in AUS. He hasn't asked for any money for postage, yet
1. Site says 1.6oz, card in box says 2oz, wifes digital kitchen scales say 1.9oz 2. Yes, on the edge 3. $0.00 - I think 4. 2011 I believe
wifes digital kitchen scales say 1.9oz Well thats a womens TRUE scale???? under weight? Thanks for the info.
I got burnt on my second buy because I didn't realise that there was troy and normal ounces. I bought 20g sterling coins and worked out my offer based on it being 28 grams to and ounce >.<
Lucky bugger! 1 coin USPS to aus isn't too bad any, you can buy them a beer the next time you see them...
Mayan 2012 Prophecy Coin Assay. .999 Fine Silver Weight: 2 Troy Ounces Size: 1.75 Inches Finish: Antique
I'd be interested too... Saw one on feebay (passed it up @ $100...saw it on amazon and the mint for $ 75 but couldn't get it over here )
The COA is incorrect .. The NWTM has been made aware of this, it remains to be seen if they re-issue these (with correct specs) to all original purchasers .. According to the website, they are "minted from approximately 1.6 Ounces of .999 pure silver." The 2 coins that I have weigh as follows >> (1) 55.96 gm. or 1.799 Troy oz. (2) 55.46 gm. or 1.783 Troy oz
Unfortunately the mint still hasn't responded to my request for reissued COA's. I don't think I will order anything from them again, as I think that is very poor customer service. It is a neat medallion though.
