Given that the current gold/silver ratios are approx 1/65, how many stackers here are ready to switch their silver holdings into gold?
Of more interest for me as I want to swap my silver for gold is how many of you here are prepared to swap their oz of gold for 2 kilos of silver?

Might not find stackers willing to switch, easier to sell out of silver and buy back into gold in separate transactions. Of course will have to be mindful of the buy/sell spreads. I will start moving mine across at 1:45

Also don't forget CGT if you're using dealer networks.

I don't think it's going to be that difficult doing such a trade if you live in one of the capital cities!
Spot for two kilos of silver is $2235
Retail premiums on a bog standard ABC bar is $86 per kilo
Spot for 1 oz of gold is $2268
Retail premiums on a bog standard 1oz ABC gold bar is around $58
Whoever swaps their gold for silver is going to be much better off!

I don't think it will be too difficult now, however once it drops down to 55, 50 or 45; dealers may be your best option!

Switch once it gets down to below 50 coz silver will still outperform gold this year imo.

I'm selling a lot of what I call loose ends right now. US silver Commems, Silver quarters sets etc in hopes to switch to platinum or gold more because I'm tired of storing it.

The eternal question - Which will have the better upside when things get chaotic as we go into the next 5 years? They certainly have a vast difference when it comes to storage costs!

I don't think silver stackers should worry too much about doing silver for gold swaps.
In the past, I always found it much more difficult to get stackers to swap their silver for gold.

If the gsr drops any further it will because of a higher silver cost. Good time to get rid of silver shrapnel and buy silver bars to allow for a smoother gsr swap when ready.

In the absence of inflation, gold does better while silver does better when there’s commodity inflation. Crisis and chaos can be both inflationary or deflationary so I guess it depends?

That is because silver is the poor man's gold and silver stackers strive to amass as much silver as possible and then exchange some of that for gold
when the exchange rate is more favourable for them to do so.

Not the same demand from gold holders wanting to swap their gold for silver obviously especially when the ratio is narrowing as it is now.

And as others have alluded there's also the secure storage factor, much easier to store gold
than the same value of silver.

I'll be looking to swap out most of my silver for gold shortly, have been waiting for sub 70/1 for a while as a trigger too start swapping in increments. Nothing to do with which I think will perform better in the future more so the fact my health is not good & my partner would find it a lot easier to deal with, sell, understand etc gold rather then silver. I would have started as i said already however surgery, radiation, chemo & now immunotherapy leaves little time or energy to do anything.

This is not a tail of woe, simply too broaden the picture, their are many things going on in each of our lives that effect our decision making process. Not right or wrong, better or worst just needs to happen due to.

To say this is the GSR low is to say this PM cycle has topped. GSR will always trend down when Gold/PMs trending up. I think you're jumping the gun TBH. I'll be periodically swapping silver while under 50GSR but I think it will get to 40, maybe under 30 TBH. We are seeing big money moving out of USD now. This should only continue this year and next. /my2cents

Sorry to hear that you going through health issues. We been dealing with the surgeries, radiations and chemos in my house with my spouse for 4 years now. It has made me think a lot about how do I make my coin collection and specialty bullion more liquid for my family if I can not sell it and not have them get taken to the cleaners by shady dealers.

I never get tired of storing silver. I only get tired of paying the SDB storage fees but the still coming upside of silver price will pay for all that.

Thanks for the kind words of support, good news is no more chemo or radiation (as they both proved useless), all the ulcers & blisters have healed in my mouth & face. On a not so positive note Two new cancers have spawned (one across my throat & the other on the corner of my bottom left had side jaw) from the surgery of the original one. Just taking it day by day dealing best we can with whatever is thrown at us, just like everyone else on earth. To all those going through similar i feel for you all, your loved ones & friends as it effects all. Take care & be as kind to yourself as you are to others.

Any form of investment or speculation is stressful, the more volatile, the worst, other than the ancient relic, so this is a good move. Have you tried alternative or herbal treatment? I’ve done some reading, they say a no added sugar diet may help. The goal is to reduce inflammation, and for which sugar and processed foods is inflammatory.
