The post is useless without pictures! This is one of the nicer Kooks.

The 2011 kookaburra mintage was set at 500,000 from the beginning. It was not a case of initial mintage 300,000 with a later increase to 500,000.

500,000, huh? Just think, one for every 14,000 people on earth. Plenty for everyone!

3 months back I was deciding on whether to buy 100 x Kookaburras or 100 x koalas (via Gainsville). The price was identical. I ran with the Koala's. Kicking myself now though as there has since developed about a $4 difference in price between the individual coins.

Oh well. Still have my silver.

Stick with buying Lunars, then Kooks then Koalas. Premiums make the rules and lunars are miles out in front.

I duno though...the mice lunars aren't moving at all even @ $41 each right now.

I'd rather hold kooks than lunar mice, just a personal thingy I guess.
