Helping our local meals on wheels with a massive garage sale. A tea set stamped "Australian Fine China St Kilda" has been donated. Cups, saucers and milk jug. Found similar on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/VINTAGE-...ltDomain_15&hash=item3a66a522f4#ht_2627wt_942 Have not found any info apart from ebay listings which all say 22ct - probably just copying each other. Is there any value in these?
Nothing that I'm aware other than the china really, as its very very thin. It's almost painted onto the china, and this wears with use pretty quickly. If its a nice set, I'll happily take it off you. Specially for a good cause
Thanks for that - I didn't believe there was - just the beauty of the set really. We are not selling prior to the sale apparently and its 6 weeks away yet a lot more work to be done.
Fine bone china makes tea coffee taste better... just like beer in glass bottles tastes better than out of the can. Just don't put it in the microwave or the guilding will blast off!
if you think that looks cool, try putting a candle in the microwave with a cup over it. the cup has to be up on some sort of blocks to allow air to the candle. it makes some sort of plasma that floats up to the top of the glass. if you do it for too long the glass willl bust
no value. except for the coffee table the same with silver cutlery. some people think numbers 90 or 100 mean 90 or 100 percent silver. but far from it. its only thinly coated. the numbers tell you how thinly...
Your all amateurs ,try this 1 oil filter fill with petrol in the microwave & run like hell No I haven't done it ,its a running joke in the car industry daring each other to do it. And nobody has
Tempting me... Extension lead, old second hand microwave + safe distance... not to mention a camera on it to post up
whilst you're enjoying the lovely sites of microwaves glowing consider the EMF emanating through your skull.
