I've always been more of a gold person. I find it more stable, I guess. But now I'm also planning to invest in silver. Any good readings you can recommend for a beginner in investing in silver?
Made me laugh considering how much shit I've copped on this very forum over the years for being a self confessed Objectivist. Note that this book is free online http://web.archive.org/web/20110708...onalinstitute.com/zcontent/alpha_strategy.pdf This book is very popular with many old hands here. I have a copy myself and thought it provided a good balance between monetary history and stacking basics to get you going. Mike is also working on another book at the moment which I'm keen to get my hands on when released as well. But if you want good reading material for a beginner that's related to silver, SS really has your bases covered already. http://forums.silverstackers.com/topic-880-buying-silver-in-australia.html
You've got to lend an ear to Ted Butler as well, at least once. http://www.24hgold.com/english/news...direct=false&contributor=Theodore+Butler&mk=1
Read SS threads from 12 months ago. Check out sales threads (prices) and different people's attitudes to metals and compare them to now. That should keep you going for a while.
