Hey Guys, First of all not sure if ive posted in the right forum!? I have a few items, im wondering if anyone could tell me anything about them and what they are exactly! Oh and if they are really worth anything? or people collect them? questions questions thanks
Top left looks like some sort of shell casing?? Top right is a brass(?) fire nozzle, looks like it may have been repaired at some stage(?). Ebay example here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-...=AU_HistoricalMemorabilia&hash=item2a319592a6
I pulled the shop a few months ago I do better at Camberwell market I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it I'd ask for $100 & settle for $50
A bit of Google-fu suggests the shell casing is from an 8cm M5 Skoda field gun used by the Austro-Hungarian army during WW1. See these links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8_cm_FK_M._5 http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/70050-85mm-shell-casing.html http://www.geocities.com/haugh58/M95ruckandzeltAlfonsKraler.html?1136552874578 No idea if it's worth anything though
Think the shell is Japanese 80mm anti aircraft shell Could be wrong but they came in M1,M2,M3 don't know about M5
