A coloured silver 2oz proof Dragon coin with a mintage of just 5,000 coins. This coin has purple highlights across the reverse - the only way this coin will be released individually is through the Brisbane ANDA show.
Thanks for reminding me - I reckon the OP is referring to the 1oz variety, advertised here: http://www.anda.com.au/index.asp
Great one to pick up at bullion price in 2015 when we get to the year of the goat and everyone loses interest in lunars.
Lunars? Yes! Dragons? Not so sure. These are coming out at $90, so cheaper than getting them in the set and don't forget the numismatists' disease, packyboxitis. It comes in a box! With a certificate! And I need one for my (admittedly holey) dragon collection. The tigers are doing well a few years after release, but the goat and the frog and the badger or whatever will always be dull.
So these purple ones were released in the 9 coin chinese set, the 10 coin set and now 5,000 on their own? That's quite a lot !
I've been thinking about taking a privy Dragon & give it to a mates young kid & some paint And call it a Mule
Exactly. Another f$cking PMWI (Perth Mint Winning Idea). In an ANDA box. Which is why I'm selling the capsuled 2oz 'ANDA' Coloured Dragons (plug, plug) for $100ea. I'm selling the ANDA boxes separately. For $250ea. (Only kidding). (About selling the ANDA boxes). x
This one looks way better in person than the pics. Much better than the standard colour dragon. Kind of more pink than purple, i wasnt going to but i got one, but for my baby girl who is expected in a few weeks. I got this and a 2012 proof set from the RAM stand for her, and a couple of new yellow toys for me, ;-/
Now are you 100% sure you got it for her? Because most little girls would prefer teddy bears, or ponies...
thats what i do...i buy stuff for myself but i tell myself i am buying it for my son. technically they will all go to him at some point down the line but for now they are definitely mine haha. thats cool though and i appreciate what he is doing for his girl. Silverbulldog
