First time in a long while that I've created a thread here Mid last decade I felt I had enough gold and silver so my interest turned to other opportunities. I bought properties in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Although I'd had a long term interest in Bitcoin having bought and sold it for the first time in 2012, I didn't become a real hodler until 2017. Crypto excites me not only for permissionless payments, but for the ability to create/manage identity and other digital assets. It's my opinion that long term our social content, identity, and social graph head toward decentralised forms (i.e. posts, username, and friend list are not centrally controlled by a single company or platform). This interest led me to co-founding a startup in the space, Alien Star Cloud (https://alienstar.cloud). In a few weeks we are dropping an NFT collection (https://alienshd.com) and we are well on our way to building a design studio (https://id8r.com) around NFTs and web3 identity more broadly (for things like avatars, ENS domains, emoji identities, and more). Our NFT collection will provide utility via lifetime access to the core features of the ID8R platform (which will be offered as a subscription in the future). We added a couple of head nods to gold in the NFT collection traits, including a version of the gold bar from my Bullion Baron avatar Anyway, thought I would share what I'd been up to. We are currently aggregating a guaranteed mint list for our NFT collection, so if you have an ETH wallet and interest in NFTs I'd be happy to add any stackers to it guaranteeing you a spot on mint day, you'd just need to DM me your Ethereum wallet address. Mint price is likely to be 0.05 ETH (finalising in the week ahead). I learned a lot through the experience of putting together an NFT collection, so if anyone else has considered doing the same I'd be happy to answer questions or provide some links to resources I found helpful.
