Just thought I'd open a new thread with something I got recently. A PCGS graded MS70 American Buffalo. Not the proof or Washington mint version.

Anyone else got buffaloes? Not a common coin in Australia I think.

intelligencer, I finally found someone outside US to own the Buffalo. I've got a few 2006 PCGS MS70 & PR70 First Strike. Also got lucky with a 2008 PR First Strike - mintage wasn't released when I bought it. If I can find a buyer, I'll probably switch over to Gold Lunar.

I've got a 2010 coin from the US Mint, it comes sealed. I also brought a Canadian 1 Oz maple which isn't encapsulated just so I could feel it between my fingers as all my other gold is encapsulated and I just wanted something I could take out and feel for a change. ;)

I considered buying one/some earlier this year, but the coin is a replica of our old buffalo nickel. Now that they have stopped minting the premium is up to $100/coin.

You mean the one-year issue of the silver BU and Proof American Buffalo Coin in 2001? Yes, indeed. I missed buying that too.
