    Hi All,

I've gone down the SMSF route as well. I'm just wondering for SMSF does people use Allocated Storage or Unallocated Storage?

Seems like both are allowed under the SMSF rules.

    Thanks in Advance for Advice
    Terry

Unallocated is cheaper, and somewhere like the Perth Mint, it's just as safe as allocated.

And if you read some of Bron's posts (goldchat.blogspot.com), there are certain situations in which unallocated is potentially safer than allocated.

    I use unallocated.

I plan on using unallocated via Perth Mint for some of my SMSF holdings.

I just hate the fact that I now own 2 kilos of gold and I can't play with it!
