Interesting reading on his blog - some things on the show like "72 hours to find $10,000 of gold" was filmed over a period of a month. A lot is scripted and re-enacting earlier fights. The punchup was real though, as were Dorsey's broken ribs. Maybe best to skip the blog and suspend disbelief for the purposes of entertainment
Really? He came across as someone well past his prime and losing his faculties myself. I can certainly appreciate experience, but he doesn't really strike me as someone who really knew what they were doing.
