    What a load of tripe.

Both sides of the ledger have all sorts of people - it's only the people who can't think for themselves who simply barrack for one team regardless of the discussion.

 let's take debt/loss as an example.

On one side of the court we have the socialists. These people have no issue with a government going into debt or suffering a loss as they merely wave a magic wand and collectivise the losses via increases in taxes. In the other court we have the crony-capitalist. These people have no issue with private debt as they merely wave a magic wand and collectivise the losses via government subsidisation.

Biggest insult in our family was " (he's) a bloody red!"

But there was a lot of argument and a fist fight I was told over voting "no" when Menzies tried to ban the CPA.

Australia's "free" was what I was told later, and Pig Iron Bob was trying to be Mussolini.

We were small business manufacturers then, and not union friendly.

It's never black and white OC.

The f*ckers even had the audacity to remove the debt ceiling so they could borrow without constraint, then added levies on income and pretended it wasn't a tax.

I've just gotten a few Labor party ads. I like to follow the links just so that they have to pay the "pay-per-click" fee :p
New 3-word slogan for the day - "Let's do this". Sounds like a Benny Hill line.

I guess so. One side has people who's ideologies created countries like Australia, New Zealand, England and the USA, the other side have ideologies that create countries like North Korea, the Republic of Cuba, Lao People's Democratic Republic, the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

And let's not forget the Poster Child of the Socialist People's dream state: Venezuela. Socialism is working out really well there.

"North Korea, the Republic of Cuba, Lao People's Democratic Republic, the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."

AND the USSR, and a dozen victims in the Warsaw Pact, all under the Russian jackboot.

The responce, "AH, but it wasn't REAL communism".

Wonder what type of system we have...Maybe a combination?

Corporations, military industrial, media and State giving out welfare to citizens to keep the financial game going...Freedom, personal rights taken by all western politicians in the name of keeping us free.

The TPP passed in secret. Federal Exchange Fund operating in secret since 1934?

IMO everyone in Australia has got his nose in the trough, including me...Have a look at the promises been made now...Less tax for Corporations, new sporting stadiums, inland railway Melbourne to Brisbane, new hospitals, new metro Melbourne, new under river tunnel for Brisbane, Submarines for Adelaide, Patrol boats for Perth and the list goes on.

More money for education, more money for hospitals while in the meantime the REVENUE IS DROPPING LUKE A STONE..

GMF will be here in Australia soon.. Why? Because the TPP says so...Frack where you will. Why? Because the TPP and the ISDS say so.

There are so many here on SS on both the red and blue teams who believe that our system is going down and yet still support the old ideologies of both the red and blue teams.

Jobs!JOBS!JOBS seems to be the cry for electoral success...IMO at this very moment we in Australia are witnessing the nearly total destruction of manufacturing industry, robots and computers taking over jobs in retail and fast food operations and the takeover of financial markets etc by electronics..

A new revolution is in progress, it is just that humans don't know it yet.

It has got to the stage now where our enlightened Politicians are getting advice on what is going to happen by 2050 and yet here on SS, most of you I think :) believe they think the system is going down but don't know when'

Surplus by 2021 ?? Depression by 2021? Who is right?

US Debt tops $19 trillion, Derivatives tops over $500 trillion, Lend your money to governments for -.05% .. for 30 years.

As Robert Menzies once said " Give the working man a beer in one hand and a smoke in the other" and that is all he wants".. Now I know why the taxes on cigs and grog are so high.

Sport, TV, Twitter and I phones are the opium of the people..Give them all these and they will be happy.

Vote 1 for anyone you like for it matters little. :)

    Regards Errol 43
