Prices are climbing on the 2015 AQUARIUS Zodiac Memento Mori , Ampex is at $189 us now , was $149 us a few days ago. A few sold for around $170 to $180 CA on eBay in the last few days, some cheaper, but even those guys are rising their prices, well the ones that have any left that is.

Has APMEX adjusted their price higher on this coin more than once? That would be interesting if they have because I don't really see APMEX, probably the largest bullion retailer in the U.S., as a company keeping close tabs on collector coins.

Yes they have, I have seen at least 3 price increases from them on this coin/medal , so someone is there awake at the wheel and adjusting prices.

That is actually quite interesting because I didn't think APMEX actually bothered to be on top of price movement for what could be considered a low exposure unknown medal. Maybe the ZodiacSkulls series is a sleeper (meaning that it appears dormant in the beginning but in actuality it will be a winner).

Will have to pay more attention to this series.

New LunarSkull every year for 12 year period.

New ZodiacSkull every month for 1 year period.

I kinda like the ZodiacSkull time frame. That means I can complete a full set in 1 year as opposed to 12 years.

I agree, hell I might not even be alive in 12 years let alone finish the set of the Lunars lol.

That's apparently the plan but 12 years is a long time. That's why I like the 12 month plan on the Zodiac Momento Mori medals...the ADHD part of me likes the quick turn around on the Momento Mori.

I think I would prefer something in the "middle". Maybe 3 years. :) One month is too much for me, considering the amount of the coins that is released every month, and always some other interesting appears.

12 years is a lot I agree. In that time you maybe won't stack any more. :p

I agree, 12 coins per year for a second consecutive year would be overkill...but you need something to fill the 12 month gap between Lunar Skull Coins to keep the interest..I was thinking that a series of 3 or 4 coins over a 12-month period might do that nicely, or a concurrent series of 12 coins spread out over 2 to 3 years...

    Cheers,

    Luker

There is a very lovely series of silver coins that fits that criteria....5 design issues per year (less than 1 every 2 months) for a total of 12 years just like the Lunar series coins. It is the America The Beautiful 5 oz silver coins. These are the first U.S. coin ever produced in the 5 oz. size. Every issue has a different design.

Apmex has silver and gold Aquarius back in stock $208 US for silver and $280 US for the gold. I think the gold are going to start getting crazy prices , wont take long with just 99 mintage, I am holding off till next week on the gold but I am 99 percent sure I will be starting a gold set along with my 2 silver sets, errr then again maybe I am just crazy.... oh wait its mothers days....hmmm gift for Mom or a gold coin for me.... maybe both! :D

Wonder where they are getting the silvers, must be buying on eBay cheap enough to make a profit when reselling I guess.
