We just poured 95 000oz last month which was a good result so at the morning meeting we put to management to give out gold as a bonus
Instead of fiat after all we are a gold mine.
    Answer: no
    Well you can only try.

How many tonnes of dirt do you have to process to get that in a month?

Did they say no because they though it would be too difficult practically or just didn't like the idea. It may be possible for us to simply transfer ounces from the mine's refined dore and credit it to staffs' depository account.

Well unless it's a private mine then the gold belongs to the shareholders. It reminds me of a story when my cousin was working underground in the 80's near Kalgoorlie drilling for nickel on the night shift they crossed a vein of pure gold that they literally stripped from the face. What to do? After all this is a nickel mine right. So they proceeded to cut the vein into pieces with an axe, loaded it into a ute & in those days security was virtually non existent & drove it out the gate. The good old days back then he was later working on another mine on a piece-meal rate averaging $6k per shift they bought their own plane to fly in & out.

At a minimum headgrade of 5 grammes per tonne (assuming you're using an efficent CIP plant)
that equates to about 6kgs per shift
    or nearly $300K per shift...at a minimum :)
