    Does bitcoin dealing fall outside consumer law? Ie we arent protected from fraud etc? What measures could we take?

    Depends who you are dealing with.

    Bitcoin transfers are cleared funds. There is no way of reversing the transaction other than the recipient sending them back, just like cash (or physical bullion).
