Hello Stackers, Recently i have purchased a digital microscope ( was discussed in another thread here ) with the intention of being able to take good quality ( not professional, but good quality ) images of some coins for occasional eBay flips. However the microscope cant reduce its magnification to less than 20+ so i can only take images of parts of coins and fit them in one image. Have taken images of some details on some coins which will show marks of wear and circulation, also noticable will be the surroundings of UNC coins, they are way flatter !!! Anyways, Aussie 20 Cent piece ( 2005 - large head ) Eye and Nose of the Queen. The head of Virgilvs on 1 Dinar Tunisia ( 20.0 grams, 0.925 Silver, 1969 - 15k mintage - UNC ) and 2 different mintmasters initials or privy marks on the same coin [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/531_p0001_18-02-11.jpg][/imgz] Image of the privy mark " Dupre" to be found on 10 & 50 Francs coins ( Under the feet of Hercules ) 1973 Bahamas 50 Cents 0.800 Ag UNC - ( sold the same one as part of world silver coins offerings ) The head and the tip of the sword on the swordfish The fish looks real !!! Its a different Dimension looking at coins at that magnification. I have taken fotos of intricate details ( mini crests ) within the 2 headed Eagle's wings on a 20 Kopeek silver coin from 1914, and will upload eventually. Microscope can take videos and ur watching the image on your monitor, you can take photos at the click of a mouse. its magnification ranges from 20 - 200. Around $37 delivered

Wow Thucky, I'm impressed such a cheap instrument can produce such good definition. I was thinking about getting one. So I just did ! Mine will be the black version though. I will zone in on one of my Privy Kooks crowns, they seem to be the most impressively struck coins I have ever seen !
Awesome isn't it? You should try doing some video of the coins. There so much fun with the digital microscope. Here's one on a Morgan dollar I shot with the microscope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uh1XsrForw0&feature=player_embedded
Very nice ! Do you keep moving the coin around or the microscope? Is your microscope similar or same as mine?
This is the Reverse of the Kook And this by the way are images of a 1 Korona Hungarian coin that i suspected to be a fake - due to the condition that the coin is in ( aUNC). It passed the weight test 4.92 grams ( should be 5 grams ) Specific gravity was around 9.5 ish - its a 0.835 silver coin and has edge lettering.
