Looks like they did also acquire the rights to mint for Niue. Such generousity IMO wouldn't help to Niue coins brand image. I don't even think it is 'Russian', but made for the Russian market. This type is quite annoying, I saw a few more of these: Niue dollars, minted by Poland and aimed at Russian market. Works due to gifting culture specifics, but probaly not collectible, unless there is an interest in the depicted history. Personally, I'd love to take a closer look at some coins from Belarus. At this stage, I only had several "icons" in silver. They were impressive, perfect gift for an orthodox religious person, IMO.
