How much confidence was needed for gold when it was used as currency?
    None cuz its gold.
    Only need confidence for fiats.

Bolivar has value issued by government, little confidence, no one wants it, everyone wants gold.

95 percent of the dollar is gone, not much confidence left for that.

That it can meet your needs/demands,

If heating your wood stove with government issued fiat meets your needs/demands then yes, it constitutes value. Remember, value is subjective.

Alternatively, if you can exchange it for gold or silver (or beer before you hit the sack) then it meets your needs/demands and can be said to constitute value.

^ "Breakfast" is what we smoke when we wake up after a night on the "piss".

    "Piss" is alcohol.

"Piss" can also be what you hit golf balls into - involuntarily.

Oh yeah, never heard that one haha. I got one ready to go but saving it for walking the dogs tomorrow. I am in Colorado after all.
I'm picking up a snowblower tomorrow for my wife so I dont want to think about the silver dollars I could be passing up. I only use it for the nausea ya know. And I never inhale.

When PM analysts speak a lot about "volatility in the precious metals market", they sense that it's going down. The know that it's going down.
But they're never going to say that a major correction is coming.

And Kitco is a permabull's nest, they're always going to "talk home".

I expect gold to go further down (I give it a 70 % chance to dip deeper and 30 % to go up), according to various news/trends/analyses made by various specialists.

I'm saying this also because the mere fact that we have such tremendous instability proves the fact that people aren't bullish on gold anymore (on the short term: November). Central banks are also net sellers.

If there's a time machine, a year ago, no one can imagine something like this. Even cars need to social distance. Why bother to hold a rally? Just use zoom.

Here we go-I don't really care if my input is meaningless to you-there are others people who may find this post interesting. You are trying to impose your own way of thinking in this debate not knowing as well whether our politicians are subject to the orders of some secret cabal or not.( your Quote). In my post I was able to confirmed other's member statement you had not knowledge of it,but your EGO can't accept that. Now you will know why I was bother to say something....
PS: “Do not judge, or you too will be judged”

Man, where is that? Your photo or "just a beautiful photo of some place sometime somewhere"?

I see used car prices going down, laptop prices going down, digital camera prices going down... but food prices and utility bills are goin' up.

You're trying to argue the presence of corruption, nepotism and cronyism as evidence that a secret cabal exists. It exists in every seat of political power. There are no puppet masters pulling the strings of politicians. There are no puppet masters scripting election outcomes. There are no puppet masters, just as there is no God.

@hardyakkagold's reference to the Rockefellers is indicative of how crazy some in the PM game are. Tinfoilers.

PS: if that's not what you're trying to argue then your posts are meaningless.

Nothing to be excited about it. You have the same proof that there is no God as there are no puppet masters who are pulling the strings of politicians. This is your view and you are entitled to hold this view as long as you are comfortable with yourself. It doesnt mean that you are right because you are not in my view. I has nothing to do with presence of corruption or nepotism,it can happen without the last two. You don't have to be so naive with your intelligence to believe that every election is won or lost as the people voted for or against..One have to look outside the box-and don't call conspiracy theories-something don't agree with and deeply aware of...
On positive note-no post is meaningless on this forum-we can learn from every one something only if we put outside our EGO--some are not able to do it...
    Case has been rested

Now you're suggesting that elections are rigged.

Well I suppose if you believe in spirits floating around in the skies then it's not a small leap to believe that Electoral Commissions are corrupted and don't count votes properly.
