Christmas lights up on Singapore tourist shopping street 2 weeks ago. Of course, there are no tourists. Was there last weekend, looks better on video than actual. The Christmas decor has been reduced as compared to last year. The entire street in the video, both sides, can be covered in 40 minutes but wearing a mask and walk for 40 minutes isn’t so easy.

Deepavali festival light up in Singapore little india shopping district a month ago. It's not in english but captures a lot of the street scenes. This should be a popular place for tourists from the West, pre-pandemic.

It is strange after signing the FTA with Japan why UK don't capitulate and just sign the EU deal.
Japan-UK trade deal makes UK beholden to Japanese standards and much like EU it baked in if any lowering of UK standards occur Japan can unilaterally rescind, limit or apply penalty tariffs.

It is practically an EU-Japan FTA with less favourable terms to UK.

Very unlikely Japan would have given UK a better deal as the Japan-EU FTA states if either parties give any other third-party a better deal the EU-Japan FTA must change to reflect the favourable clause for EU/Japan

From what I've heard China is struggling just to feed its population and the soybean shortage is barely starting yet. It could get ugly.
Especially when they could declare covid travels on frozen food packaging and our food becomes the next mass spreader.

Maybe so I'm no expert on china haha.

I was just watching a documentary about the orphanages full of children there.
If they could train all those millions of babies from birth to be ninjas they could take out any standing army in the world!
The biggest ninja girl army ever!

Sounds like an awesome effing movie.

China doesn’t have food shortages yet, but they have bride shortage, not enough women as they aborted the girls. Orphanages might be girls dumped by parents hoping for a boy. The result of birth control.

On food shortages, it looks to me the weather pattern, huge rains non-stop and floods across Asia from June to September will continue next year. Perhaps the fall in carbon emission has something to do with it? Soot reflects some of the sun’s rays and a reduction in soot would increase temperature.

Historically, sudden changes in carbon emission such as a huge volcanic eruption can cause catastrophic weather changes that can collapse civilisations. The Mayan was destroyed because of climate change from volcanic eruption. It also indirectly led to the downfall of the East Roman Empire. The Mayan had all the riches and gold but still failed.

Now that's an amazing food storage! (Although most of what this guy has is full of toxic preservatives and other additives, but at least it's edible)

What is the situation of Corona in China?

4,634 total death cases according to Wikipedia, which seems unreal.
There seems to be no big 2nd wave. Or they're not reporting the total numbers?

Bulgaria has more deaths than China, I can't imagine why the figures are so low there.

Or, the Orwellian "social credit system" has already been implemented there and there's "no more need for Corona"? :D

I think that's the answer. Everyone there submitted to the CCP and handed in the last fragments of freedom they had.

Either that or 20% of the population is dead and the CCP is keeping it hush hush like they did with the great leap "forwards".

Maybe their numbers are more accurate and they arent making stuff up like we are.
Practically every death in the US is covid now.
You can die from a gunshot wound or a motorcycle wreck, its still covid.

I think we're just seeing the beginning of the SHTF. Even if they managed to depose Trump, what's next?

The economic problems, the huge housing bubble in Chinese cities, their zombie SOEs, the tens of thousands of small businesses folding up every month, of course MSM doesn’t report this. The pandemic has only temporarily masked the economic issues. The rent and mortgage suspension in the US won't continue forever.

The rent paying smurfs are delusional, they will still need to pay their rent even if Biden takes over. Nothing will change for them. Meanwhile, the billionaires are quietly selling and moving out of the smurf cities. Elon has gone to Texas, Larry has moved to Hawaii and moved Oracle Hq to Texas. From a trickle, it will soon become a deluge. If the tech stock bubble implodes, California will become a hell hole in a decade.

Maybe China like Australia never really had a problem with mild Covid. There's a pretty clear link between Covid getting out of control and piss poor leadership.

I was reading last week from the US Center for Disease Control that the earliest RNA matches India's covid. Probable path is India to Italy then spread from there in September and October.

Might be true. Doesn't really matter.
