I didn't go for the lunar rooster privy or shark privy and I certainly won't be getting any of these. Mintage is pretty low but premium is too high for me all things considered.

edit: well, that was quick. I just made a buck per ounce in 10 minutes. :) I figure these will be $30.00 before long? Who knows, but worth the roll of the dice with a mintage of 8000 mintage of kook/panda & Beijing show medal

amen BB. you've read my mind. :) What was the mintage of the 1995/1996 mintage? Had to have been less than 8000 too! I wish they would stop with the kooks and move on to something else. 2018 bird is atrocious. What is silver bullion coin space? Thanks.

Don't like these privy gimmicks at all.

I can somewhat understand when they put a lunar privy on a kook, or vice versa because the lunar series, kooks and koala's are their staples and what they're known for, but putting random things like sharks and panda's is just silly

Makes next to no sense. Feels like they think that as long as they limit the mintage they can privy anything to make a buck

But I guess there are enough buyers who fall for the low mintage hype

It sucks so bad that APMEX sold out in no time. LOL. I'm not saying I don't agree with Soprano. But sometimes I just need to jump on the wagon like I did with the BU swans at like 24.50. Now these ain't swans, BUT...

By the way, when they make these privy coins, I'm assuming that is above the mintage of 500k. So if they make 3 privy coins each having 50k, It technically is 650k mintage, yes?

I think APMEX will have a dramatic price increase when they bring more out? 8000 is not a lot. I don’t care if it is kook or not...although these kooks happen to be okay. Not the best, but not the worst. I think what will help this coin is that it was intro’d at the Beijing coin show. But what do I know. I’m just a speculator with these, and hoping they go to 100.00. LOL.

I think you are right BB. I passed this on to someone very well connected with China, and he thinks it as you say. He is currently in China at the show, so he will get back to me, and I'll post here. But why just them? Did the rock the boat? Interesting. By the way, it appears that APMEX had a small allotment of the coins? I glad I order a 'boat load.' :)

Even with shipping fee, not a bad price.

So far I haven't seen the trickle/pump game being played so maybe they are really soldout, slabbed coins notwithstanding. They definitely could have done a much better job on the privy design itself upon closer inspection. Even after seemingly selling out I didn't have any nonbuyer's remorse LOL Good luck!

Lol. The company in HK increased their prices and they still seemingly have a ton left
