Really? Does anybody know where in Australia we can buy? Didn't find in Perth Bullion. Saw in the APMEX web and bullionmoney's news. http://www.apmex.com/product/149299/2017-australia-1-oz-silver-swan-bu
I tried to buy some, but with Paypal and bank deposit the only payment options, and a >3% surcharge applied to Paypal payments, I cancelled my order and will not bother dealing with this trader any more. Bullion Money, if you're reading this - that's BS!@!!
Hmm, seems to me that APMEX's price might possibly be cheaper (for us in North America). Price alert puts it at 23.82 USD (31.24 AUD). Might be in for a roll, but that price point has me looking at getting the Phoenix/Dragon instead.
If PayPal doesn't suit you, how about just a bank transfer? I like these coins a lot, i think they have a lot going for them: - very low mintage, - first coin of an ongoing series, - very low premium over spot (cheaper than lunar series which are 300,000 mintage, and only a little more expensive than koalas and kookaburras, which are 500,000 mintage). That sort of formula usually means spot price can fall, while the price of this coin will hold or appreciate in value. I just checked, there's only 331 left at Bullion Money.
Hmmm, I'm not sure about this "Expected" to be an ongoing series doesn't confirm much I find it hard to believe that they would have an ongoing 1oz Silver Coin series and only limit the mintage to 25k. Also giving the exclusive rights to Bullion Money seems odd for an ongoing limited series I'll probably grab one just in case, but I'm curious to see what happens going forward Kind of feels more like the Dragon/Phoenix, and not the Kook/Koala as suggested
seem like this is what they have left to sell: Bullion money - 60 Perth mint - 388 looks like they're selling quickly
All gone can't order through Perth Mint. Customer service people not very helpful on the phone. Same old story with their pathetic website said 59 available but my order would not go in. In the hour or so wasted dealing with them could have got them elsewhere.
I just got home from the mint, I got the last roll they had at the bullion counter Bought them at about 3:15
Went into Perth Mint website again was able to put 46 in my cart but did not allow check out. Another wasted 15 minutes. Just not good enough. Poor customer service. The 2 people I spoke to on the customer service line were uninterested in resolving the problem. The guy said "me waiting on the phone is not going to help you so you might as well hang up". The ordering on Bullion Money was very easy and user friendly. Also the shipping charge was $15 compared to $75 the Perth Mint tried to extort out of me for exact same number of coins. Hopefully the order from Bullion Money will come through...
When I rang about a half hour before I went in, I got the same "excellent" customer service, spent 10 mins on hold before getting transferred a couple times, to be finally told there is heaps in stock, but couldn't give me a firm number, when I got there was told there was 24 instock, so grabbed the last full roll, I've never bought of their site, I don't like all the info they require, but am lucky to live 20 minutes away
The design could be a little more life-like but I suspect Bullion Barron is correct, I like the 25k max mintage in particular.
There aren't any more available through Perth Mint website or the Bullion Money website. Sorry to any of us who missed out. I guess the next place we'll begin to see them will be eBay, which could still be a good option considering the strong demand today (all coins allocated to Australia all sold out in less than 1 day).
