Hot new coin from Komsco 1/2oz 2017 Chiwoo Silver Round https://www.gainesvillecoins.com/pr...ea-1-2-oz-silver-1-2-clay-chiwoo-cheonwang-bu Mintage 10,000 pcs ( 5000 oz )
Nice collection!! Nice pick up on the Chiwoo. You think the 1/2 oz are a bigger winner than the 1 oz? Mintage dif is huge
Too bad Komsco started 1/2oz Chiwoo Silver Coin Series with 2017, not 2016 Chiwoo’s image. But mintage for 2017 1/2oz Chiwoo Silver Round is only 10,000pcs comparing to 2016 1oz Chiwoo’s 30,000pcs and 2017 1oz Chiwoo’s 50,000pcs. First BU coin in 1/2oz Chiwoo Silver Round with mintage 10,000pcs is a good sign. I like first coin in a series, especially low mintage. Big potential for appreciation. But keep in mind that not many collectors buy 1/2oz Silver Coin or Round. Too small, I guess. By the way, Komsco minted 10,000pcs 1/2oz Chiwoo Silver Round but had seperate 3500pcs set program on 2017 Korea Coin Set ( 4 pcs Circulating Coin + 1 pc 1/2oz Chiwoo Silver Round ) Which means, mintage 10,000pcs - 3,500pcs in set ( domestic selling and soldout ) = 6,500pcs available for Gainsville ( exclusive ) to sell individually. Great info!! Wow. Thanks for sharing all that info. Funny, the 1/2 gold panda fetch an incredible premium versus the 1 oz gold (earlier years). I’m sure it has to do with limited mintage. Same applies to these. I like the 1st in the series too. I’m not ready to buy a monster, but a couple rolls will suffice. I don’t like them in tubes, however, banging around and rubbing against each other. That’s one thing the Perth does right. Put everything in capsules, and in a lot of cases wrapped. So much better. Are you sure it’s not 10,000 + 3500 = 13,500? Lol.
