Not meaning to revive an old thread, but I couldn't see anything newer regarding this coin...

I love the design with the barbed wire! Anyone else like it?

Agreed good design. I just wonder when they will be out. This is the first year I know that the PM coins have been so delayed. The 10oz and 2oz lunars on back order delayed to December ? , the kg out of stock and no kooks in sight. I doubt they will be available before Feb / March 2016. Don't ask about the koalas lol.

Mate, the Kook's are supposedly due November 2, so just over a week away. 1oz mintage of 500K units, 10oz & 1kg units have no mintage limit.

Koala's are slated for January 4 but that may change slightly due to Christmas shutdown and shipping being more difficult around that time. Aussies will probably get it shortly thereafter, but US/CA/UK are probably looking at 2 weeks longer to get stock. 1oz Koala mintage of 300K units. 1kg units have no mintage limit.

Both of these are 999 fine, whereas the Roo's are 9999 with AUD$1 LT, unlimited mintage.

I honestly think these are beautiful coins. Well done to the Perth Mint on the design. Fingers crossed for the quality!

looks like APMEX has them for 3.99 over spot. question is, what price will Gainesville, Provident, JM bullion, etc.. be at. 3.99 is a decent price. A buck or more over spot than a silver eagle. Not bad. Let's hope for better pricing from the other players. I like these much more than the luar monkey, but I'm crazy like a monkey, so what do I know. :D

Oh, I'll take 500K over 40 million plus mintage, all day, every day. I'm passing on the 1 oz monkey.

By the way, does anyone have any clue when this series should conclude? I mean, they won't run this for 50 will they? Maybe 30? I mean, at some point, they hopefully stop and move on to something different. Yes?

I'm waiting for eBay sale from Bay Precious Metals. No dealer in the USA can beat BPM prices on Perth Mint coins.

Perhaps. Let's just hope we see spot at 14 before 20. lol. The lower the better for me. Those are a home run, IMHO...as it relates to bullion. the best out there.

If spot stays here or lower, I think JM and Gainesville should be lower, but I'm not holding my breath, nor am I waiting. lol.

I think this kook design is the nicest so far, it is a very accurate image and a nice scene to boot

I have kooks sit a couple of metres from my kitchen window everyday, the little buggers
steal the goldfish out of my pond, they sit on the bridge railing or fountain and swoop down.

The apmex pricing is very sharp, I do not think you will get better than US$4 over spot in any qty

I think these will go very quickly, the best price I could negotiate here was AU$5.2 plus freight over spot
I am betting these will be real hot

    cheers grant

AU $5.20 over spot is very good. Was that an order of 500 or is it available with smaller orders?
