SilverPest? Rumours? So you are saying the Perth Mint has been 100% transparent with these coins and we shouldn't worry our little heads about them? Glad you are so trusting.

Could be, but some don't appear to be impressions. Would be good to see a sample of various physical coins.

OK here goes, I have read all this about 2015 Kangaroo and I just have to ask..

What is all the excitement and rage about? It's just a bullion coin, it will never be worth much more than spot, it's not numismatic or something..

Now you've made the mint to pull back some coins, I guess that all of you together will buy maybe a hundred coins and that is it. Is it worth it?

Depends.. I bought a tube of 25. It's cheaper than kooks, lunars, koalas at the moment with the same mintage. The following year is 5 million so far. So it doesn't hurt to have these if you buy as a bullion coin. They may have some semi-numi value later down the line. With spot at $17 and change these are $2-$3 over. Not too bad.

How fast do you reckon the 50,000 will go?

With 50,000 of 300,000 to be sold in Aus, wouldn't there be a fair chance of appreciation fairly quickly? If so how much? Will these be $30, $50, $100 coins?

Don't worry Pete. Spanner prefers all his 2016 Kangaroos to have that rustic look. I've heard rumors there's a limited edition being issued for a select clientele...Psst, but keep it secret here's the unveiling.

Not so good for the coin however, but the poo spots may be evidence of the mint's secret antiquing process. Question is, who is actually doing the job?

If it's advertised as "limited mintage" then it risks falling afoul of the ATO's GST rulings on bullion and the mint will have to collect GST on sales.

    Directly from http://www.newcoinreleases.com/2015-australian-kangaroo-silver-bullion-coin-mystery-solved/

" The 2015-dated coins were offered to one of our resellers in the United States last year "

" The distributor in the United States made the decision about the release date for the 2015-dated Silver Kangaroo and also the channel through which they were offered for sale. "

" In 2016, Perth Mint rolled out the 1oz Silver Kangaroos as part of their Australian Bullion Coin Program. The mintage in 2015 was 300,000 and all the coins were sold directly "

" When exactly were the 2015 coins minted and sold to CNT? The coins were minted and sold to CNT in 2015. "

So is the Perth Mint insinuating that it actually bought back, and is having shipped back...50K of the 2015's that were shipped to CNT ?

Or are they saying they lied , and held back 50K of that 300K mintage ...and only shipped 250K to CNT ?

This whole thing has shot the integrity of the Perth Mint deep into shit, even worse than the re-minting of the backdated Kookaburras.

With the 2015 dies still in house at the mint, just swap out the 2016 dies with the 2015's for a day and spit out 50K of the 2015's....it would go right along with the stories coming from the Perth Mint on this debacle.

Seems to me my post #15 in this thread questioning the legality of selling the entire mint to non Australians must have got the mint worried!

With a July 2016 PM release of 50,000 2015 coins just after being totally "called out" and after CNT has already sold many to the US gen pop it is obvious PM have re called the 50,000 from CNT

Now look out for Brons "after the fact"explanation to say it was a planned event! lol

"Opps we got caught out with blatant false advertising better fix it or heads will roll" lol
