Kg is better buy than other sizes in term of mintage and premium charge for this case I miss the kg suck
The best buys outside of the original price of the 7 coin set are the 2oz and 5oz proof coins. Their premiums will almost certainly continue to appreciate at a better rate than the Kilo will. You haven't really missed out on the Kilo... MDAMDA still has one available on ebay for the same price they were on day 1.
500 on the PL kilo Libertad...I think that's the second lowest mintage of any year for the kilo...from my recollection. Such a low mintage, such a beautiful silver coin...seems like a coin worth seeking out. .
I believe that once most of the sets have changed from the hands of short term flippers to collectors we'll see the price stabilize somewhere between $1500-2000 USD. Another set just sold a few days ago on ebay for $1487 USD.
I still hold on it and not willing to release for sell..... Might hunt the kg. However, get in too many like barsenault recently. Festive season is coming soon too Where my bonus ?????
I expected a very low mintages - but these are very low Means just a few 5 oz Proof more than kilo prooflikes - crazy!
If you have money golden ones seem good decision as well. I wonder what the mintage will be for 2015.
$1249 US is a really good deal for the 1 kilo proof-like silver libertad , especially with a mintage of merely 500. I purchased two 2014 5 oz silver proof libertads from this seller and am very happy with the coins and the overall transaction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Libertad-1-...t=US_World_Coins&hash=item35df1c8883#shpCntId Cheers, Luker
For that auction, there's a Make An Offer option and for the next 24 hours or so there's 4 X eBay Rewards (in the US at least)...so that makes it even a sweeter deal. .
If an eBay user reading this has yet to sign up for eBay Bucks (fast, easy & free), I highly suggest you do so ASAP at the eBay site. eBay Bucks is like a "reward dollars" program that can be used as eBay "store credit" for future purchases. The base is 2% (for eligible listings). Oftentimes, though, they'll do a limited-time Bonus Offer.. which has a multiplier effect on that 2%. For the kilo listing posted above, here's what I get right now: Pay today and earn $99.92 in eBay Bucks. See conditions for eBay Bucks Bonus Offer! - Earn 2X eBay Bucks on any item $50 or more until 12/4! (ends in 32 hours) Bonus Offer! - Earn 3X eBay Bucks on any item $100 or more until 12/4! (ends in 32 hours) Bonus Offer! - Earn 4X eBay Bucks on any item $150 or more until 12/4! (ends in 32 hours) That's an 8% discount on the kilo. I've previously seen as high as 10% off in the past with other listings. Run the math on whatever listing interests you. Even with any higher international shipping fees & currency exchange fees, it can still make financial sense sometimes.
Gatito did a great job explaining. So, for example, if you were to buy the 2014 kilo Libertad for the current selling price at the current Reward Point bonus level, you'd earn very close to $100 to spend on eBay any way you like. Remember, you have to pay within the bonus offer time frame which are usually only a couple of days long. It's a great way to get free coins (or whatever you want to spend it on) on ebay. I've taken advantage of the occasional special Rewards Points bonus several times and got a few free coins (not necessarily all at once) when I cashed the points in over the past 2 years or so. .
My 3rd-quarter balance was a personal best for me. My balance for the 4th-quarter -- which is only 2/3rds of the way through, mind you -- is already higher than that. Already took advantage once so far today. Contemplating a few other listings, but might hold out for a "5X"-er somewhere down the road. But always a bit of a gamble of what might be available at that time, at what price, and perhaps who I may be up against in terms of other interested buyers. Decisions, decisions...
Yeah, definitely have to be mindful of "the rules" -- both on the earning side, and the redeeming side (they do expire a month after they become available!) And if you use the "Best Offer" option, you better hope & pray that they accept in time, LOL. Anyway, uh.. Libertad mintages..
