100 Minted. 1st in a series. Brass. Hard to find. Andy has some to sell. Something about brass. Yum.

I know this should have probably went under the other thread, but Gatito hijacked it. :D

    I have the brass raw 10 pcs, 2 ngc pf69 and 3 pcgs pf69.

I might send some raw for grading. Probably 5 pcs.

    Nice designs.

    But I need relief!

I have a new rule: If it doesn't have at least 15mm of extreme ultra-high relief, then I don't stack it.. ;)

    Keke.

This definite no 15 mm. Still the world heritage better.

Expect the coming one of world heritage which is better high relief effect than the temple of heaven issue by Poland mints.

4 layers high relief same like temple of heaven and the dragon and all details are vivid as compared to it. Reverse side is part of the building of beijing palace with some background.

The design not 100% confirm so I cannot release the photo here.

Both sides of the medal are high relief.

You mean the same world heritage we are talking about over emails? :) I thought there will be only 3 in the series.

But I know there are some other World heritage as well. Or they are just named like this in feeBay. :)

Hey stark. There will be 10 in total. If all goes to plan. And I've seen renderings of the 4th one too, and my goodness...if any further tweaks are made, I may be in the poor house. I just don't understand A) how they produce such amazing art on a medal and B) why they don't sell out in 30 seconds. I seriously don't get it! I know that they go for 600 - 1000+. However, we are talking 300g of incredible craftsmanship! There is no question if the PM did something like this, with 100 minted, they would be selling for a lot higher and they would sell out in minutes...probably seconds!!

People start saving your money. The 4th promises to be a real beauty. And don't wait or debate whether price will come down. They won't! These will be in strong hands never to see the light of day. I'm just saying. I don't have an ETA. Andy, do you know? I'm starting to save my pennies to get 2 or 3...so there are only 97 others who can get one. LOL. I'm sure Andy will get 10 of them, now your down to 87. Good luck. LOL.

Yup, I was talking about the medals. I would like to get 4th sooner after the release. I also hope it won't be released too soon.

Big $$ for the whole series.

    10 x $600 - $1K USD = $6K - $10K total

Plus grading/slabbing costs, if applicable.. Probably a bit more for pre-slabbed -- especially for top pop.

    Either way, not cheap.

One could buy a lot more Ag weight in kilo bars & coins -- or gold -- for that kind of cash.

At times I question how well these will perform over time, given the high price-tags.

I buy them not for investment, but for beauty / art / craftsmanship.

Otherwise, could be "dead money" for a while. Buy them to admire & because you like them.

I collect one set silver slab that all if the upcoming series design look good. Otherwise, I might selective buy rather than all 10.

I will definite buy brass for 1 set due to more approachable price. However, I cannot decide to slab it or leave it since the slab price almost same with ag.

It is hard decision for me.

I like the Beijing and Shenyang Palaces more than Great wall.

I will sell off one set of my graded or omp for the Beijing, Shenyang and great wall. I will keep one set only.

So far, 1 full set been sold and left Shenyang palace and Great wall which might sell individually.

Despite all I said, here's the thing:

I'm a big believer that these will still be gazed upon & drooled over in awe by somebody in 100 years. Or 200. Or more.

Meanwhile, silly kilo bar long melted back down. Possibly numerous times over. :D

If subsequent owners are mindful & keep them safe, these will keep getting passed down through the generations.

    Creepy! But cool..

If you really like something you will buy it regardless of what "market" will do. I don't plan to sell some of my "most preciousssssss" :p stuff until it's really urgent or I get bored with collecting.

Not interesting in collecting silver bars. I think that material (and space) can be better used. :p

Let me post the photo and video of the NGC & PCGS PF69 Ultra Cameo of the brass Nanjing panda later.

I think it is better to consolidate all photo and video here rather than new thread.
