When I did the feature image for the AgAuNEWS release post, I did a joke one of the Panda in Harry Potter playing the flying game. Didn't know they would actually make it.... There are actually a couple of other coloured versions floating around as well. However, the Somali Elephant Night & Day was nice, so I reckon these will be well done at least. Looks wise, if you like it, buy it.
Good evening, Let me ask you this official coins? Where they are painted at the factory? If you send them to NGC, they will gradering? And as coins colored design 1 and 2? thank you Source: Source:
The China Mint shipped the coins to a company named PAMP in Switzerland to be "colored". PAMP then utlizes "proprieritary techniques of colorization for prescision color application".
NGC will not grade them ,you would get them back ungraded in a flip ,NGC consider,s aftermarket colorization as being"altered" BUT they are pretty cool! colorized and gilded aftermarket Panda,s seem to be pretty popular in Europe, I have actually seen pretty sought after panda,s like the 2000 frosted colorized, in the case of the 2014 with that high a mintage it is essentially a bullion coin except possibly in ms70 grade ,so IMHO if you like it and don't pay too much of a premium go for it ,that is one of the nicest colorization jobs I have seen..............cheers
