What do you guys value the carded ones vs the uncarded? the carded ones are only $2 more if not the same price why not go for them? mintage might be less than 2m?

    Re carded versus circulation coins!

Generally speaking it is the circulated coin which has more appeal to a collector.

Carded coins are generally regarded as "rip-offs" by the Mints as an easy way to make them a dollar!

This Coronation coin is a perfect example where the circulated coin (2,000,000) is exceeding the value of the carded coin (unlimited).

Yes but why pay$10+ for a circulated version when you can get a carded version for like 12.95

Circulated have a mintage of 2m. (Already impossible to find at face value!)
Carded is unlimited! But will always be easy to find!

More romanticsm with common circulated versus higly inflated carded coins released by RAMint.

PLUS this really is a special coin.

A few posts earlier I mentioned a local shopkeeper with 2000 coins...
Saw him and her again yesterday and his wife likes them and wants to keep them!

    :)

That eBay listing really is a great deal!

These Coronations will be worth $40-60 within 2 years!

Wait till initial eBay run dries up and the next generation prices come along!

    Going to da moon!

PS Chubb roll of 25 sold on eBay for $350 two days ago!

Sulla, I hope your words will become true. :) I'm waiting for mine to come. :) Sometimes initial hype cool down and prices fall. Vatican Sede Vacante 2 coins achieved 25x its initial value in few weeks, but its mintage was much lower and there are some "die hard" of Vatican's coins in EU/World. :)

What is everyones take on these coins that have been pulled from circulation. I now have about 5 or 6 from circulation and 11-12 from security bags. Should I definitely keep them separate?

Also, do you anticipate this coin to go up in value as the years pass, or as Stark mentioned, would the initial hype eventually cool down?

I see these as one that is easy to keep away somewhere for the next 20+ years.

I have 28 of them. :) Unfortunately all that came in one roll are a little damaged. :/ Was thinking of trying to get maybe one additional roll, but now I think it's better to purchase them separately. :)

    It's been awhile?

Anyone have any interesting story to share regarding these coins? Quite many rolls (25) appeared in last few weeks on fleaBay. I think that price for them is being quite "stable". I will maybe buy few more in near future and give them to some people as gift or something. :)

Was looking hard at it when it was released.. Thought about it and decided Silver Numis were enough to chase for a lifetime.. then found one in my change today.. haha.. in the end I couldn't help but pull it aside and store it with all the other "precious" coins.. sigh.. now ended up on the bay looking to add to it..
