Do the Chinese mints publish a timetable/schedule of future releases? If so does anyone know what's still to come this year please, or where I can find this info? I'm talking about all silver and gold coins, not just Panda silver and gold coins.

Or is it a case of you don't know what they're going to do until they do it?

[BTW my Chinese is rubbish.. just in case you're thinking of giving me a link to a Chinese mint's website :) ]

Yes - the forthcoming (May issue) Mount Wutai coin release is very beautiful. I am already rooting for the 2oz silver version. You can check these here: http://www.chngc.net/EnVersion/Information/ShowDetail.aspx?intInfoID=111

The quoted price for the 2oz coin is 330 OMP. Although there is 100K mintage, this is a very important release (Buddhist religious release), and every Buddhist at China would like to get one if they can afford - methinks :)

Will do. Let me talk to the seller(dealer) and see how many he can get. So far he informed me that he got allotment of 5 2oz silver pieces from CGCI. Will also inquire about if he is getting others. Based on his response, I will introduce you and him. His prices are very reasonable - but not for all coins.

I have done many transactions with him directly using Paypal (without Ebay), and found him very trusty. If it is ok, I can also introduce him to this board - I guess it would be a win-win. I do not any incentive in this other than providing him more business, and give the board a trusty seller.

Until there is a bad transaction it is hard to say how good he is, and here is my experience on that:
Like many other coins, I bought a 2000 silver mirror panda from him for 840 usd, and it turned out to be a high quality fake. I sent that back, and it turned out not only his, but two dealer level up got fooled. He has been extremely transparent to me on this whole affair. No issues at all.

I'm interested in the 2oz as well... very nice looking coin. I guess it'll be twice thick as a normal Panda given it's 2oz in a 40mm dia coin

It is thincat00 - I have let him know, and he is very excited. I will ask him to create an account in this forum, and I can vouch for him.

Yes, as I mentioned, not all his coins are cheapest, some are even quite higher priced than competition. However, many are quite cheap. There are many occasions when I could get a 69 graded coin less than his quoted price for same coin in OMP. So you will have to choose and work things out.

I think it is hard to get a trusty dealer, and that is what I can vouch for. Not the price :)

That's good to know.. He has some interesting stuff listed on eBay, but I've been wary about buying from him because of his relatively low rep score.

[I only buy from eBay sellers who are recommended on this site, e.g. naomi01225, or are active members of SS, e.g. Yennus]
