So I got one of these in the mail the other day, Stunning looking coin and with a bit of history in the detailed calendar, lovely antique finish etc https://store.nwtmint.com/product_details/3716/2012_Mayan_Prophecy_Coin_Silver_Antique/ I love the look of it , The thing is that the COA that comes with the coin states 2 troy oz, their website states 1.6 troy oz, it weighs a little over 1.7 troy oz but spot on two fluid oz. Anyone know anything about these? and whats with the discrepancy in stated and actual weight ? It states .999 fine silver and weighs in at 56.7 grams.... Anyone?
And they're asking between $118 and $192 on ebay... I've put feelers out to a mate of mine about supplying me a couple, if I can organise some cash to him. Not too sure about their confusion between the two ounce types though. That could prove to be a hurdle years down the track.
I can get them for U.S $95 + postage with a discount on postage after the first and no cost on the third for postage, PM if interested and I will give you the details. Damn nice coins .Just got me another three today.
I think it looks great and wouldn't mind having one of these. However if on December 22nd it turns out to be a non-event. I'm sure the price of this coin won't be worth as much, just metal value.
Nah the people listing them have just copied the NorthWestMint info verbatim, I think the issue is with them .
Silver that's already "dirty" in the creases, straight from the mint. Click on the link in the OP, and compare with a Perth Mint lunar for example.
I live in the US and can order from this site. If someone wants this coin and is willing to cover all of the shipping costs, I'd be willing to put in an order. Right now the coin is USD $74 + $5 shipping. Then there would be the additional international shipping to your location (not sure how much that would be).
