2012 kooks What do you think? Gonna stack them up or stay away? Good alternative to dragons ...... What's the general consensus on these birds! Kookookakakakakaaaaaaa..
Might get a few. Dragons all the way! I dont want to wait another 12 years to buy dragons at bullion prices.
I'd like to get a roll of 20 since I'm trying to collect the 2010-onward series, but i keep getting distracted by pandas
I'm liking them....I bought my max allocation of Dragons, next will be kooks then once they are sold out I will be back onto the Koalas
I want a 10 oz. This Kook is rad. Actual bullion is so much nicer looking than the preview images released.
Probably not too handsome to the guys that got their lunch stolen by a swooping kookaburra at uni (I was a witness). I definitely want some of the 2012's though, since with everyone getting dragons there is a chance the mintages might not be very high.
Has anybody received their kooks yet? I ordered mine in August and still have not received them. The same seller has been making sales of them on ebay so i know they've at least received some stock.
I'm being told that any deliveries on Kooks from the mint in 1oz and 10oz sizes are delayed until mid-October - no doubt this is affecting dealer supply.
I just ordered some today from Bullion Bourse (roll of ten 1 ouncers). The listing said "2+ weeks delay" but I strongly suspect it will be considerably longer, probably closer to a month (mid-Oct as goldpelican mentioned). Oh well, I don't mind waiting. I locked in a decent price today (cheaper than any in the last 2 months) and if it continues to fall I'll buy more in mid-Oct when there's more supply (hopefully!) I have to admit having seen a photo of an actual coin, rather than the promotional artwork, the coin looks better in person than you'd think. That evil looking eye isn't quite as bad in real life Still prefer 2011 and 2010 designs though I think.
There are some 1oz Kooks in circulation - but supplies are just tight. At least the Mint hasn't had to cease accepting orders for them like the 1/2oz, 2oz and 5oz Dragons.
