    Hi all,

Just wondering how much does it cost now to buy 1 oz dragon proof 2012 coin on the market now?

Is it true that it is all sold out?

    Thanks

A member had 6 or so for sale not too long ago. Can't remember who...

Sorry, that was for gold 1oz proofs. Didn't know you were referring to silver.

But that is fair if your buying, not a fair price though, If you offer that 99.999% of people will laugh in your face. Look to spend around 400 if your lucky.

Not so sure about that. We are talking about the proofs here.

2000 Dragon 1oz proof mintage: 2500 (sold out)
2012 Dragon 1oz proof mintage: 5000 (sold out)

    2000 Dragon 3-coin proof mintage: 1000 (sold 982)
2012 Dragon 3-coin proof mintage: 1000 (sold out)

    2000 Dragon 1kg proof mintage: 250 (sold 220)
2012 Dragon 1kg proof mintage: 500 (sold out)

.... but there were a lot of ADDITIONAL dragon proofs minted in 2000 that are not available in 2012:

    2oz proof: 1000 (sold 838)
    1/2oz proof: 5000 (sold 1750)
    5-Coin set: 500 (sold 266)

My point is, what do the 2000 proofs go for today? A hefty premium, right?
    2000 1oz, say $510? 260848616770

    Thoughts on this?

Agree with what you said, I think 400-500 will be sustainable in the long term for 1oz.

Didn't realise they were doing coloured proofs, thought they would just be doing gilded, coloured BU and typeset. But there you go.

Well at least we buy at $120 now and we know we can sell for $500. I'm still happy :)

Maybe the 2000 issue price was lower?
