wow, talk about cashing in. I thought the existing Series II Lunar's had a mintage of 5000 for proof 1oz. Glad, the Series I Lunars have a mintage of 2500. Slam
I'm curious what the packaging will look like. The previous issues all had a real photograph, I wonder where they got the dragon photo from
Wow wee! The coloured proofs (which are in fact coloured bullion coins) used to have a mintage in this packaged form of 3,800 for the Mouse, Ox, Tiger & Rabbit now its 10,000 !!!
Aren't the offering many different colours, like black, blue, red, etc? Are they each limited to 10000 coins per colour?
I believe that is the 9 different 1oz colored silver bullion coins and those are destined to be sold as sets in China.
Yes these "special" coloured coins (not the usual colorized 1oz coins) are aimed at the Chinese market. How many will re-emerge and then be sold at a premium is anyone's guess.
There is a black one on ebay, but that looks like the wrong picture: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/170689450111
