Hey guys I saw someone selling this panda with a certificate of authenticy, in another topic people said that the 2009 Pandas only came in round capsules rather then the one shown in this picture, also isn't the Maquarie mint an Australian mint? So my question is, is this a real panda? I don't have any Pandas hence why i'm after one, if this is real how much would you pay for it? Cheers

    Bullion Stacker,

Can you get pictures of the actual coins? If so, here are mine you can compare it to . . . I won't try to even act like I know all about spotting fakes, but those look like stock images.

That is part of the f12 or fabulous 12 collection. 12 Coins worldwide were part of this F12 set.

The panda is one of them. RAM's kangaroo at sunset is another coin in the F12 set.

This is just a standard 2009 bullion panda which unlike the RAM kangaroo at sunset and RCM Maple leaf which came with F12 privy marks. The mint which sells the Fabulous 12 collection put the 2009 panda in a square capsule so that it would fit in the special case which is supposed to house the coin collection. Since this is a standard 2009 bullion panda, market price would be $55-$60 unless you are willing to put a premium on the square capsule.

Original Mint Packaging - Rumor is that some people send them off for grading and ones that grade badly they take them out of the NGC holder and sell them in air-tites, so the only way to be positive that you get one that hasn't been already graded once is to look for them in OMP. I don't know where they got the coins for the F12 collection, so they might have taken them from OMP and re-packaged them directly from the mint, that I don't know.

No problem, I have started collecting them, so just passing on what little info I have learned, from others around here!

I think is better buy it in ms69 (cheap than in capsule and grade it). if you like graded. If not is the same

Didn't the release for this series have a F12/15 privy ? I am sure the Kangaroo at Sunset and a few others have had such a mint mark in the past ?
