    Hey all,
I'm new here and am seeking some advice on the above said Pandas. They're still in mint sealed packaging. I'd like to sell them but I'm not certain if I should send them in for grading first? Looking at them with a 30 power they'll grade 68 and 69 respectively in honesty. The 1/2oz has a small scratch in the field to the left of the temple. Any fans of modern graded bullion here or should I keep them as is?

57 views and not a single response so far.

Looking for some feedback and opinions. Thanks.
    Regards,
    Icarus

I haven't sent anything for grading so not sure I qualify but seein as noone has replied thought I'd give my 2 yuan.

The 09 is a good design but common, I wouldn't bother with grading personally at this time. With the costs associated with grading its improbable its worth grading, esp. if you think it wont grade high. If you want to sell, sell in OMP

Hopefully this place is the friendliest (and safest) Panda playground in the world! :)

25Grizzlies is correct (imho). The 2009s are highly desired, but they are also very common for the moment. In 10years time, they may still be highly desired, but with a lower supply (making them much more profitable).

30x viewing is too powerful... 10x is the standard usually. If you can see the scratch under 10x, then much of the numismatic value is probably lost for the moment (in 10years, it may regain a lot of the value).

Now that's a helpful hint for a Panda newbie. Much appreciated. I will dump the 30 and get a 10 pronto. And I'll stash those bruins away for another 20 years. Gracias.

If a coin is in its Mint Sealed Package, and has a scratch I would leave it where it is. If you want one in better condition then sell, or trade your current coin.
