Hello all, This is my first post after being a long time reader of the forums. I recently purchased a 2004 1/20 Gold & 1oz Silver Panda Set. The seller described it as proof but the set is actually BU set of 5000 distributed by China Gold Corporation Inc. They state they they purchased it a bank while in China at the time of the sets issue date. The COA is included but the word includes is misspelled as includs. Thank you for any additional info. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110864243438?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 By the way I ordered the Panda book by Peter Anthony and will have it in my possession on Tuesday perhaps the set is described in there as well.
A picture goes a loooong way in establishing whether a coin is genuine or not. COAs from China in the past can have spelling mistakes. The EBay pics look legit.
Thank you both for your opinions on this. I wanted to upload some more pics but how do I do that on this forum? Once I figure that out I'll upload some pics. Thought it could be a common spelling mistake. Now my fear is relieved. I appreciate you remembering seeing this packaging type in the past. I love the bamboo design with the see through.
Oh, forgot to mention I paid $160 for it with BIN. It was listed as a 24 hr sale and was checking newly listed items and snatched it up. Was that a good deal, I personally felt it was but would appreciate any opinions. Also have a 96 1/2 Gold picked up for $916 a couple months back.
Hi YingYang4, and welcome You can't upload pics until you've been a member for 7 days. Although you can link to them if they're stored offsite..
