I was blessed to have a couple hours free for hunting today, and not only came across these stunning Pandas, but was able to meet the artist behind them too! [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/675_pandaartist.png][/imgz] A very polite gentleman. He was more than happy to explain the process behind the drawings and designs, and also how he got these medal minted. These are indeed works of art. 10cm in diameter, and 999 Silver, Copper and Brass. There are only 30 of these silver medals minted - which have their COA number and exact weight imprinted on the rim. [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/675_img_4038.jpeg][/imgz] Available in brass (mintage 180). Here's a 1oz 1993 Silver Panda (39mm) for a size comparison. [imgz=http://forums.silverstackers.com/uploads/675_img_4060a.jpg][/imgz]
Those are stunning looking medals, congrats on the find and on meeting the designer... now if they could just get him to design the official 2013 Panda bullion coin (the design behind the 1993 coin would be my pick).
