Haven't really noticed this myself prior to reading CCF and 89s are usually neglected but if you've got the latest pricepedia you'll see some crazy prices for 89 LD gold pandas. 1.9oz 5 coin set sold for $11700. 1oz selling between 2.5k and 3.8k depending on grade. 1/2oz... hairlines and not OMP 1/4oz selling for 602 in OMP 1/10oz selling for 330 OMP and 1/20oz is 160 OMP. I am very surprised by these prices myself, will have to dig out my stack and take a look at my 89s to see if they're LD or SD... I always thought that for the year 89 both LD & SD were worth similar but it seems I'm wrong Currently in China the Gold pandas are going nuts in prices, should be reflected in next month's pricepedia. This might account for some of the high prices but perhaps the Chinese know something about the mintage we don't. CHECK YOUR 89s!
